CAI Staff supervise about 35 postgraduate students working in a diverse range of disciplines, such as Medicine, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science and the Biological and Chemical Sciences, even though the Centre is not permitted to enrol its own RHD students. In addition to supervising our own RHD students, the Centre supports the research of other candidates throughout the University.

What is RHD?

There are two Research Higher Degrees (RHD):
• the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
• the Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
On average the PhD takes 4 years to complete and the MPhil takes 2 years.
