Research projects
Cerebral connectivity is the structural and functional outcome of genetic, environmental and behavioural changes to the developing brain. I research the development of connectivity through studying the pathogenesis of neurodevelopmental disorders using diffusion magnetic resonance imaging and functional magnetic resonance imaging, with subject recruitment made possible by close clinical collaboration and community engagement. This clinical data will impact on experiments in mouse models to chart the molecular events involved in the pathogenesis and improve preclinical testing of therapeutic agents.
